Located in the beautiful Tamar Valley, Launceston occupies a space in northern Tasmania. Among the oldest cities in the continent, this picturesque town is the gateway to the wine region of the area and its cool climate vineyards. Surrounded by high mountains and mountainous areas, the temperate climate invites those who enjoy spending time outdoors.
